IBExU Institut für Sicherheitstechnik GmbH (hereinafter “IBExU”) takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and complies with all relevant legal requirements.
IBExU collects, uses and stores your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the German Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG). This privacy statement explains the type, extent and purpose of the collection and use of your personal data.
Access data / server log files
Each time our website is accessed and each time data is retrieved from this website, this information is logged.
It is then saved in server log files and automatically transmitted to us from your web browser. The transmitted data includes:
- Browser type / version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL (website visited previously)
- Hostname of your computer (IP address)
- Time of the server request
The data collected cannot be attributed to any one specific person. However, IBExU reserves the right to subsequently verify log data if concrete evidence suggests that data and/or the website is being used unlawfully.
Further personal data will only be collected if you explicitly provide it, for instance when registering for a seminar or the seminar newsletter as detailed below.
Seminar registration
The data you provide during online seminar registration will be stored in its entirety. This data will be stored exclusively for the purpose of handling seminar enquiries and bookings. Extracts of this data shall only be passed on to third parties as part of lists of participants in IBExU’s seminars. Your personal data will not otherwise be forwarded to third parties without your consent.
Seminar newsletter
If you would like to receive the IBExU seminar newsletter, you must provide us with your email address. This will allow IBExU to confirm that you are the owner of the email address and that you have consented to receipt of the seminar newsletter. No other data will be collected.
The stored data will be used exclusively for the purpose of sending the requested seminar newsletter. Your personal data will not be forwarded to third parties without your consent.
You may withdraw your consent to the storage and use of your personal data for the purpose of sending the seminar newsletter at any time.
Access / revocation / blocking / deletion
You have the right to access the personal data stored about you at any time, free of charge. In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of your personal data at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to correct or block your stored personal data.
Your personal data shall be deleted if you withdraw your consent to the storage of this data, if knowledge of your data is no longer required for its original purpose, or if your data is not allowed to be stored for other legal reasons. Any data required for billing or accounting purposes will not be affected by a deletion request.

Google Analytics
IBExU uses Google Analytics to analyse website activity. Google Analytics is a product of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (hereinafter “Google”). Google Analytics is a web analysis service.
Google Analytics works on the basis of cookies (see below for more information). The information generated by these cookies is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Using IP anonymisation, Google may shorten your IP address prior to transmission within the European Union or any other country party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. However, in exceptional cases, your IP address may only be shortened by Google after it has been transmitted to a Google server.
Google will use the information transmitted on behalf of IBExU to analyse your use of the website and create reports regarding activity on the website, as well as to provide additional services in connection with IBExU’s website and use of the internet.
Google will under no circumstances link your IP address to any other data held about you. You can stop Google from using and processing the data collected via cookies using an appropriate browser plugin.
